Accounts Clerk

We are recruiting an experienced and organised Accounts Assistant to join our clients friendly and inclusive team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the sales ledger and assisting with the purchase ledger, ensuring that all invoices are raised correctly and on time and and all purchase invoices are recorded and processed in a timely manner. This position requires attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Responsibilities:

• Input completed sales orders onto the system
• Raise sales invoices on Sage line 50 from dispatched sales orders
• Chase outstanding accounts via telephone and emails - logging all call
• First point of contact for customers with queries on their accounts - offering an excellent level of customer service at all times
• Raise credit notes as required
• Allocate payments received to customer accounts, investigating short payments if any
• Issuing customer statements and copy invoices
• Reception cover as required
• Assist with the purchase ledger - month end, holiday leave etc
• Update the company cash flow forecasts

Skills:

• Sage 50 Accounts experience would be beneficial
• Excel knowledge, lookups and pivot tables
• Work with a methodical approach to help meet deadlines
• Previous work experience within transactional accounts
