Accounts Manager - Specialist Medical Client Portfolio

North London | Up to £60,000 DOE | 4-Day Week

An established and growing chartered accountancy practice in North London is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee a portfolio of clients in the medical and healthcare sector. With 20 staff and a strong reputation in this niche, the firm is well-positioned for continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACCA or AAT professional who enjoys managing their own portfolio, values work-life balance, and is looking for a flexible and stable working environment.

The Accounts Manager Role:

• Managing a portfolio of healthcare clients (90% partnerships, 10% limited companies)
• Preparing partnership accounts to finalisation stage
• Building strong client relationships and delivering high standards of service
• Working with Sage (all accounts are produced on Sage), IRIS GP, and Xero
• Some involvement in tax matters

Accounts Manager Candidate Profile:

• ACCA or AAT qualified
• At least 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Comfortable working independently and directly with clients
• Experience preparing partnership accounts
• Good communication and time management skills
• Local candidates preferred

Desirable:

• Experience with limited company accounts and corporation tax returns
• Familiarity with the medical sector
• Experience with outsourcing work
