Job Description - Accounts Manager

General accounting and supporting junior staff through training and supervision. Strong client communication and relationship-building are essential. Candidates should have significant experience in practice, be ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE, and possess solid knowledge of current accounting standards. Proficiency in Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and MS Office is required; CCH experience is a bonus.

Description

Working alongside a Director to take over a portfolio of clients
Review company, partnership and sole trader accounts
Review VAT returns
Review partnership and personal tax returns
Ensure jobs are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
Training and supporting junior members of staff
Communicate effectively with clients
Audit experience is advantageous but not essential
Other ad hoc duties as directed by a director

Profile

Be able to develop and build relationships with clients both internal and external
Demonstrates ambition & determination to support Partners in business development
Have good communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines

Have worked in an accountancy practice with several years of experience
ACA or ACCA qualified or QBE
Knowledge of current accounting standards
Good MS Office Skills, mainly excel and word
Experience with popular accounting software products (Xero, Sage and QuickBooks) is essential and CCH would be advantageous but not essential
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Professionalism, dependability and integrity combined with a co-operative attitude and a desire to fit into a hardworking but friendly team
