Job Description - Accounts Manager

Crowe Watson Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Wetherby who are seeking an experienced and driven Accounts Manager to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships, overseeing a diverse portfolio, and supporting the growth of the firm.

As Accounts Manager, you will lead a team and take ownership of delivering high-quality accounting services to a varied client base across a range of sectors. You’ll work closely with Partners and senior staff, contributing to strategic planning and providing mentorship to junior team members. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact
  • Reviewing and preparing statutory accounts for a variety of businesses
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members
  • Liaising with clients and advising on financial and accounting matters
  • Working closely with senior management and Partners on strategic planning
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • Strong technical knowledge and up-to-date understanding of accounting standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
