Accounts Manager

My client is a multi-award winning, Top 100, firm of Chartered Accountants. They are looking for an Accounts manager to join their office in Thirsk.

Responsibilities:

• Working alongside a Director to take over a portfolio of clients
• Review company, partnership and sole trader accounts
• Review VAT returns
• Review partnership and personal tax returns
• Ensure jobs are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Training and supporting junior members of staff
• Communicate effectively with clients
• Audit experience is advantageous but not essential
• Other ad hoc duties as directed by a director

Requirements:

• Have worked in an accountancy practice with several years of experience
• ACA or ACCA qualified or Qualified by experience
• Knowledge of current accounting standards
• Good MS Office Skills, mainly excel and word
• Experience with popular accounting software products (Xero, Sage and QuickBooks) is essential and CCH would be advantageous but not essential
