About the Role

A dynamic and growing business is looking for a skilled and confident accounts professional to take ownership of its financial operations. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on building systems from the ground up and enjoys working closely with senior leadership to shape the financial future of a company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a streamlined process for handling payments, invoicing, and data entry using Sage.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily financial activity.
  • Ensure timely payment of supplier invoices.
  • Oversee VAT submissions and compliance.
  • Produce monthly financial statements and performance summaries.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director on budgeting and forecasting.
  • Administer monthly payroll and manage expense reimbursements.
  • Handle a range of general accounting tasks to support business operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • AAT qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and financial administration.
  • Strong numerical skills and a meticulous approach to financial data.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting platforms, especially Sage and cloud-based systems.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
