Job Description - Accounts Manager

This ambitious firm prioritises employee wellbeing, a generous holiday allowance and a collaborative, modern work environment, providing remote working 3 days a week (to name a few perks!)!
As Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of reviewing and producing accounts while managing workflow and assisting junior team members. This is a hands-on role to begin with, transitioning into a more review-focused position ASAP to support bottlenecks thanks to 40% growth last year. The successful Accounts Manager will enjoy the flexibility to work remotely up to three days a week (potentially more), variable work and adaptable working hours to suit their lifestyle.

Reporting to the Client Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing team output (50%) including year-end accounts, personal tax returns, and P11Ds
  • Producing accounts (50%) - initially hands-on, then moving into a review-heavy role
  • Managing workload and workflow across the team
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting their development
  • Collaborating with Directors to enhance client service and internal processes

What you will need:

  • Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA)
  • Strong technical accounting skills — you must be a confident and capable accountant
  • Experience in a similar role such as: Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager / Client Advisor
  • A background in accountancy practice is essential
  • Experience using Xero and managing a dynamic, growing portfolio
