Accounts Manager

Adele Carr Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established and growing SME based in Kirkby, to recruit a capable and self-sufficient Accounts Manager.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a varied and hands-on role offering full autonomy over the day-to-day running of the finance function.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives in a small team environment, and is looking to make a real impact within a business.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit control (approximately 15% of the role)
• Full responsibility for the purchase ledger
• Bank reconciliations across three business accounts
• Daily invoice factoring movement reports
• Reconciling company credit cards
• Coding and posting employee expenses to the nominal ledger
• Vetting new customer account applications using CreditSafe
• Setting up new customer and supplier accounts
• Managing high-value monthly customer payment runs (approximately £1 million)
• Coordinating with an outsourced payroll provider and ensuring timely salary payments (c.60 employees)
• Sending monthly customer statements
• Reporting daily banking figures from three accounts to the Managing Director
• Raising recharge invoices to sister companies
• Supporting VAT audits and responding to any associated queries
• Raising customer rebates
• General ad hoc office and finance-related duties

• Sage 200
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Word

Salary & Benefits

• Up to £35,000, depending on qualifications and experience
