Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant (9-Month FTC - Maternity Cover)
Location: City of London (Hybrid - 2 days office after training)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Contract Type: 9-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Overview:
We are recruiting an Accounts Payable Assistant for a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team operating both internally and in a client-facing capacity. Based in London, closest station is Bank.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Accounts (Client-Facing Finance Function)

• Manage client bank accounts to ensure timely rent payments, contractor payments, and payroll processing.
• Maintain compliance by ensuring adequate funds are available in each client account.
• Carry out manual processing via spreadsheets and email-based invoice filing.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and compliance standards for client money handling.

Internal Finance (Accounts Payable)

• Process supplier invoices and ensure correct documentation is received before month-end.
• Conduct weekly payment runs every Wednesday - ensuring all suppliers are paid on time.
• Support the wider finance team in keeping internal records accurate and up to date.

Working Pattern & Location:

• Training period: Onsite 5 days/week for the first 2 weeks.
• Hybrid working: 2 days in the office thereafter.
• Candidates must have suitable equipment for remote work.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot)
• AAT Level 3-4 preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Interest in automation and improving finance processes.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to a busy finance environment.
