Accounts Payable Accountant

Assisting a growing business in the oil and gas space to bring on an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant.

• Salary: £50,000 per annum
• Location: City of London
• Hybrid Working: 3 days in office, 2 from home

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for supplier accounts, including on boarding new vendors, keeping records up to date, and completing timely account reconciliations

• Process supplier invoices accurately, ensuring correct coding and adherence to internal approval procedures

• Oversee staff expense submissions and reconcile company credit card statements

• Perform regular bank reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis

• Prepare, review, and process payment runs according to the set schedule

• Handle supplier inquiries efficiently, fostering strong working relationships

• Assist the finance team during audits and with reconciliation tasks as needed

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficient in SUN accounting system

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail

• Knowledge of Joint Venture (JV) accounting

• AAT qualified or equivalent

• 5+ years' experience, ideally within the Oil & Gas industry
