Accounts Payable and Insurance Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable and Insurance Supervisor for a well-established forward-thinking client in the Swindon area. In this role you will supervise the Accounts Payable function ensuring that the team adheres to strict standards, procedures and deadlines. You will also supervise the administration and accounting in respect of the Insurance of all properties that are managed by the Portfolio Services Limited. This is a Permanent Full-time position with hybrid office working and a great flexible benefits scheme!

Main Duties:

Team Supervision and Development

• Supervise 3 team members, including recruitment, training, and performance appraisals.
• Ensure team motivation, development, and performance.

Accounts Payable Management

• Oversee Accounts Payable to meet standards and deadlines.
• Minimise AP rejections and monitor duplicate invoices.
• Manage supplier setups and GDPR compliance.

Financial Controls and Reporting

• Reconcile and control Central Disbursements Bank account.
• Prepare monthly KPIs and Management Control Reports.
• Ensure timely payments and accurate insurance premium processing.

Insurance and Risk Management

• Support Property Risk Manager with insurance queries and claims.
• Ensure accurate accounting of insurance processes and premiums.

Oversight and Compliance

• Oversee Managing Agents' accounting and administration standards.
• Provide cover for the wider team as needed.

The ideal candidate will be part of fully AAT qualified or qualified by experience and will have previous experience in a team management role. They will be clear and concise communicators with experience of working with colleagues at all levels, self-starters, results driven, not afraid to challenge the norm and client focus driven with proven experience. Knowledge of the HMRC CIS Scheme would be an advantage
