Job Description - Accounts Payable Assistant

Accounts Payable Assistant| £28,000-£32,000 | Blackburn (Flexible Working) | 25 Days plus Bank Holidays | Progression Opportunities

Axon Moore are partnering with a market-leading manufacturing business based in Blackburn who are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant on a full-time permanent basis.

As Accounts Payable Assistant, you will provide support and assist with the day-to-day financial activities, with the chance to progress and increase responsibilities within the role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Process and review invoices
Perform data entry of invoices into the accounting system Netsuite
Bank reconciliations
Prepare and process payment runs
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve queries
Assist with supplier setup and maintenance in the accounting system
Provide essential cover and support for other roles within the department as and when required ie sales ledger

Required Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
Strong team player with proactive approach
Proficient in Excel
Clear and confident communicator
Strong numeracy, time management and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively

Package & Benefits:

Salary up to £32,000 DOE
33 days holiday including statutory holidays
37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (can be worked flexibility between 8am and 5.30pm with 30 min lunch)
