Accounts Payable Assistant

I am currently working with an impressive company based in the Lancaster & Morecambe area to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant/Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Due to recent changes within the team the business needs additional support with the purchase ledger and general accounting duties. They have recently gone through a transformation, so this is an opportunity to be part of a growing & dynamic team.

Duties include:

• Accurate processing of supplier invoices
• Reconciliation of supplier statements and maintaining correct supplier balances
• Supplier payments and correct reconciliation of same
• Weekly reviews of ledger for review by the management team
• Dealing with all supplier queries
• Cash & bank reconciliations
• Stock management

Skills required for success:

• Experience within Accounts Payable/Purchase ledger/Accounts role
• AAT qualification is preferred, but experience in a similar role will also be considered
• Great communication skills
• Strong analytical & Excel skills

What's on offer

• Salary: £20,000 - £30,000
• Benefits: staff discounts, company pension, 28 days holiday , potential for study support
• Contract type: Permanent or Temporary
• Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week
