Job DescriptionAccounts Payable Assistant9 Month FTC - Mat Leave CoverLocation: London, W4 3NNPurpose of RoleWe have a new opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team on a 9-month contract, covering maternity leave. The accounts payable team is responsible for all aspects of pub and hotel invoice processing and along with staff expenses. This role will be supporting the AP Supervisor with ensuring AP month-end timetable is delivered so that the ledgers are closed and statement reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesProcessing supplier invoices – manual coding & PO matchingProduction of supplier payment runsRespond in a professional and timely manner to the needs of both the business and its suppliersProcess staff expensesManage and respond in a timely manner to queries from the businessComplete supplier statement reconciliations - monthlyEnsure that AP policies and processes are adhered to across the businessAd Hoc dutiesSkills and BehavioursProven track record in a similar roleUnderstanding of basic accounting – double entry, general ledgers and sub ledgersAttention to detail, accurate and methodicalAn ability to communicate and work effectively with non-finance staffProblem solving skills with the ability to investigate issuesAbility to manage your time and meet deadlinesAbility to maintain privacy and confidentialityTeam PlayerQualifications/ExperienceEducation to “A “Level standard preferredAccuracy with data entryExcellent customer service skillsAbility to communicate complex financial information in simple formatProficiency working with spreadsheets using ExcelProactive approach to work
