Salary: £23,000 - £27,000, depending on experience

About the Role:

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in Basingstoke. Whether you are just starting out in your Accounts career or have years of experience, we welcome your application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, credit notes, expense claims, Bacs, and manual payments.
• Post and allocate payments, reconcile supplier accounts, and handle purchase requisitions and receipts.
• Chase approvals, resolve AP queries, and set up and maintain suppliers.
• Manage AP month-end and year-end tasks, prepare reports, and assist with audits.
• Forecast AP payments, ensure compliance with company policies, and implement process improvements.
• Maintain accurate AP records, cross-train team members, and cover for colleagues during holidays or sickness.

What We're Looking For:

• Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work within a team.
• Problem Solver: Experience in managing high volumes of work and resolving complex queries is highly desirable.
• Organised: Ability to meet deadlines independently and manage tasks effectively.
