As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll be responsible for:
- Process invoices, expense claims, and payment requests accurately and efficiently.
- Process employee travel expense claims accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all claims comply with company policy and are supported by appropriate documentation.
- Code and input invoices into the accounting system, verifying details such as account codes, VAT, and payment terms.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner, including bank rec.
- Prepare and process payment runs, including BACS.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and prepayments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
- Respond to queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the purchase ledger and management accountant teams with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience in an account payable clerk position or finance role.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Hours & Salary:
- 35 Hours (Full-time) Monday – Friday
- 80% working from home, 20% in the Harrogate/Leeds office - you control how this looks
