We are delighted to be partnering with our client, a well-established and growing business in the East of Birmingham, to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated finance professional to take ownership of the Accounts Payable function, leading a small team of two and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the purchase ledger.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of 2 Accounts Payable Assistants, providing support, training, and performance management.
• Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the function.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve queries promptly.
• Prepare reports and analysis for senior management as required.

About You

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable leadership/management role.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel.
