Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for:

• Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and oversee the month-end accounts payable close process.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.
• Support cash flow forecasting by providing accurate payment schedules.
• Contribute and lead in AP related projects, supporting on process improvements and system upgrades
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements within accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Manage a direct report, providing coaching and development

Profile

The successful Accounts Payable Specialist should have:

• A strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices having previously covered the full process cycle
• Previous experience in implementing process improvements
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Prior management of direct reports
