Accounts Payable Supervisor - 12 Month FTC | Innovative Design Firm | London

Harmonic are delighted to be working with an award-winning architecture practice in their search for a 12 Month AP Supervisor to work alongside the high-calibre finance team to improve efficiency and grow the business further. This role is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and supplier invoices, and acting as the first point of contact for related queries. The ideal candidate for this role would have a strong background in AP, yet still be very commercially astute in order to work strategically with the senior leadership team in business planning.

Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for all accounts payable queries from both suppliers and internal teams
• Support the onboarding and set-up of new suppliers in the finance system
• Manage the accounts payable inbox, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with budget holders or suppliers
• Check invoice details are accurate before processing, including PO numbers, company information and VAT codes
• Carry out regular supplier statement reconciliations to keep accounts accurate
• Ensure purchase order processes are followed correctly across the business
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely approval
• Maintain accurate PO and invoice records within the finance system
• Produce weekly reports on outstanding POs and invoices
• Reconcile data between the PO system and finance system
• Escalate any issues or risks to the Financial Controller when required

What we need to see (requirements):

• At least 2-3 years working in AP
• Experience in a service business (architecture, construction, marketing, media, consultancy etc)
• Strong excel skills
• Genuine interest in architecture and design
• Available within 1 month

What we'd like to see (preferred):

• Experience working with multinational entities

Salary: £38,000 - £43,000

Start date: ASAP (less than 1 month)

Location: Central London (hybrid)
