Accounts Payable Supervisor

Reed is delighted to work with a well-respected organisation based in Edinburgh’s City Centre. Our client is searching for an Accounts Payable Supervisor on a permanent full-time basis. The role will see you overseeing a small team of accounts payable clerks in achieving the organisation’s key performance indicators whilst providing support to the wider businesses’ strategy.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in leading or mentoring people and have exposure to working in a fast-paced environment. In addition to this, you must have a positive and proactive approach to your work.

Key Duties

• Oversee a small team of accounts payable clerks
• Support, train and develop your direct reports
• Processing high volumes of purchasing invoices and credit notes
• Preparing payment runs and planning future schedules
• Managing and resolving queries via multiple workstreams
• Reconciling supplier statements and accounts
• Liaising with key stakeholders across the business

Key Competencies

• A positive, proactive and business minded approach
• Strong experience in accounts payable responsibilities within a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Experience within a leadership or mentoring role
• Experience utilising a finance systems
