Description

• Supervise the accounts payable team to ensure efficient processing of invoices and payments.
• Review and approve payment runs in line with company policies.
• Oversee supplier account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely receipt of invoices and approvals.
• Monitor and improve accounts payable processes for operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance and training to accounts payable staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Profile

A successful Accounts Team Leader should have:

• Strong experience in accounts payable within the accounting and finance department.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. (V-Look, Pivot Table)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial processes.
• Ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
