What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing a dedicated team, ensuring efficient processing of invoices and purchase order matching. You will be responsible for diligently maintaining up-to-date supplier accounts, handling incoming enquiries, and acting as the point of escalation for both internal and external customers. Your leadership skills will be crucial in providing support to your team members, fostering their development, and representing the Accounts Payable team in various settings. Your keen eye for detail will aid in identifying process failures, allowing you to provide necessary guidance to prevent future issues.

• Manage the Accounts Payable Team, setting priorities and conducting regular meetings
• Maintain up-to-date supplier accounts for key suppliers
• Handle incoming enquiries in a timely manner
• Act as the point of escalation for both internal and external customers
• Manage and resolve supplier queries as required
• Responsible for the reconciliation of key supplier statements
• Provide leadership and support to team members, ensuring their development and training requirements are met
• Represent the Accounts Payable team in internal or external meetings
• Identify process failures and provide necessary support/guidance to prevent recurrence

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Team Leader position brings extensive experience from a similar role within the UK construction industry. A deep understanding of the CIS scheme is essential, along with knowledge of Hire suppliers. You are known for your excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail, efficiency, diligence, accuracy, reliability, and self-motivation. Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) is a must. Your experience in leading large teams will be invaluable in this role.

• Extensive experience in a similar role within the UK construction industry
• Understanding of the CIS scheme
• Knowledge of Hire supplier would be desirable
• Excellent numeracy skills with attention to detail and efficient processing skills
• Self-motivated, diligent, accurate, and reliable
• Proficient use of MS Office 365 - Outlook, Word, Excel
• Experience leading large teams
