Accounts Semi Senior

We are seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join our accounting and finance team. This role involves assisting in the preparation of accounts for clients across various sectors, proving tax advice and supporting the wider team in delivering a first-class service to our clients.

Our client is a medium-sized, Newcastle-Under-Lyme based professional services firm, specialising in providing comprehensive accounting and financial solutions to a diverse client base.

Description

• Assist in the preparation of accounts for clients across various sectors.
• Help to provide tax advice to clients.
• Support the wider team in delivering a first-class service to clients.
• Ensure that all financial documents and data are accurate and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with the team on the development and implementation of financial strategies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
• Comply with all financial regulations and standards.
• Assist in the development of junior team members
• Prepare financial statements for limited companies and some sole traders/partnerships
• Prepare corporation tax computations
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts
• Prepare self-assessment tax returns
• Prepare VAT returns and provide client bookkeeping services
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries
• Undertake and perform other related duties as required

Profile

A successful Accounts Semi Senior should have:

• AAT qualified and/or working towards ACCA/ACA
• Have minimum 2 years of relevant practice experience
• Have good knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS102 (including Section 1A)
• Have good knowledge of Sage and Xero
• Have excellent written and verbal skills

Job Offer
