Accounts Semi Senior / Senior

Burton | £30,000 - £35,000 | Office-Based

We’re working with a well-established, friendly accountancy practice that’s looking to welcome an Accounts Semi-Senior or Senior into their team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident in bookkeeping, VAT, accounts prep, and management accounts.

Whether you’re qualified, qualified by experience, or somewhere in between, this firm is looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

The Role:

This is a varied role working with a broad client portfolio, where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day accounting tasks and work closely with senior staff. The firm is based in Burton and values a collaborative, office-based environment, with some flexibility for life’s occasional demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping for a mix of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Preparation of year-end accounts
• Assisting with monthly or quarterly management accounts
• Communicating with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Supporting junior team members where appropriate

About You:

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Confident with bookkeeping, VAT, and accounts prep
• Strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple client deadlines
• Comfortable using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
• Either qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
