A leading, Top 15 chartered accountancy firm is looking for a driven and ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join it's Agriculture, Food and Farming team based out of its friendly Peterborough office. You'll work with a variety of clients predominantly in the Agricultural and Food sector and there will be opportunities to work in other sectors associated with Agri-business.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and management accounts in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards
• Develop and maintain good client relations, assisting clients and providing support
• Assist with audits and compliance tasks
• Perform bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Support senior staff with various accounting tasks

Personal Requirements

• AAT level 3 or 4, ACCA, or ACA.
• Experience of accounts preparation
• At least three years' experience within a practice environment
• Experience of work within an Agricultural or associated background is preferred.
• Strong double entry knowledge and skill
• Cloud based accounting systems knowledge including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
• Software experience with Farmplan, KeyPrime and SumIT/TOTAL is preferred.
• Basic tax knowledge including awareness of how to do tax computations, PAYE and VAT
