Accounts Senior

A well-established and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and professional environment.

As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax returns, and supporting junior staff. You’ll work closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality service and build strong client relationships.

• Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
• Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Review bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior staff
• Assist with training and mentoring junior team members
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide advice
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (QBE also considered)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
