A dynamic and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Colchester is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Business Advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA professional seeking a client-facing role with a clear progression path toward management.
You'll be part of a collaborative and energetic team using the latest cloud accounting tools to deliver outstanding service to a diverse SME client base.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and financial forecasts.
• Assist with tax compliance tasks across a varied portfolio.
• Support client managers with day-to-day portfolio management.
• Help clients transition to cloud-based accounting platforms.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members working toward their AAT, ACA or ACCA qualifications.
• Contribute to process improvements and the use of technology to enhance client service.

Personal Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified or nearing qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office and ideally Xero.
• Ability to interpret and analyse financial data effectively.
• A confident communicator who enjoys developing client relationships.
• Proactive and keen to embrace new systems and ways of working.
