Accounts Senior

TPF Recruitment is working with a respected and growing accountancy firm in Reading, currently seeking an Accounts Senior to strengthen their team. This is a key role offering exposure to a broad range of clients and responsibilities across financial reporting, tax compliance, and cloud-based bookkeeping.

This opportunity would suit a qualified (ACA/ACCA/AAT) or experienced accounting professional looking to step into a client-focused position with real scope for development. The firm offers a modern working environment with hybrid flexibility, ongoing training support, and a clear route for progression.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing year-end financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  
• Supporting the production of management accounts for key clients
  
• Preparing and submitting corporate tax, personal tax, and VAT returns
  
• Handling day-to-day bookkeeping, primarily using Xero and QuickBooks
  
• Guiding and supporting junior team members, helping them develop their technical skills
  

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
  
• ACA or ACCA qualified would be an advantage. AAT qualified and qualified by experience will be considered for candidates with circa 5 years' relevant practice experience.
  
• Solid understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance
  
• Experience using cloud accounting platforms
  
• A collaborative approach and a commitment to excellent client service
  

• Salary circa £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualification status.

Based in Reading, the role is accessible from Wokingham, Maidenhead, Slough, Henley, Newbury, Didcot, Oxford, Guildford and surrounding areas.
