Accounts Senior – Retford – Up to £32,000

Chase & Holland are proud to be working with a growing modern accountancy practice, who are now looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join a successful accountancy business with a modern approach, a fantastic working environment and strong culture. You will support across a variety of accounting aspects for a number of smaller/larger clients as well as supporting in the mentoring and management of the team/workload.

Accounts Senior Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and finalising accounts for sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies
• Mentoring of the team and conducting staff appraisals
• Reviewing and developing current processes
• Allocating and reallocating of workload through the practice management system
• Managing internal audits across a small number of clients
• Reviewing tax returns
• Carrying out VAT returns

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience within a similar role
• Ability to lead and organise workload across a team
• Enthusiastic and personable character, confident in greeting and communicating with clients
• Detail orientated and analytical, able to review data and identify errors
• IT literate
