Your new role

• Planning and preparing accounts for a variety of clients (e.g. Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies) from client records for review by manager or reporting partner.
• Sending final accounts to clients.
• Assist less senior colleagues with accounts completion
• Setting budgets for accounts preparation.
• Preparing and reviewing personal and Corporation Tax Returns along with tax planning.
• Calculating income tax liabilities.
• Cash flow forecasting work.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Dealing with everyday correspondence and emails in a timely manner.
• Tax enquiries work as they arise.
• Preparation of management and financial accounts
• Assisting with coaching and developing junior members of the team, including on-the-job training
• Providing software training to clients
• Daily completion of your timesheet
• Continuous professional development to deepen your own knowledge and understanding and keep up to date with any changes within the industry

What you'll need to succeed

• AAT qualified with at least 4 years' practice experience, or ACA/ACCA part-qualified with a minimum of 8 years' experience.
• Strong experience in accounts preparation and tax
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CCH
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
• A proactive attitude and the ability to support and mentor junior colleagues
• Practice experience
