Job Description: Accounts Senior
Location: Pickering, York
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Senior to join a reputable accountancy practice in Pickering, York. This position is ideal for an AAT qualified professional or someone with equivalent experience in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of year-end financial statements for a diverse client portfolio.
• Management of client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Handling complex accounting queries and providing expert advice to clients.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members to ensure efficient workflow and development.

Skills and Qualifications:
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience
• Proven experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients
