Job Description - Accounts Senior Manager

TPF Recruitment are supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in central Reading, who are looking for an Accounts Senior Manager to join their experienced team across a varied, general practice portfolio. Our clients work on behalf of some very interesting and high profile businesses and high net worth individuals

As an Accounts Senior Manager, you will report directly into the partners and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies. You will have the support of multiple partners, and a team of junior accountants and bookkeepers to support with compliance work. You will be the first point of contact for your clients and you will provide them with a mixed compliance and advisory service. You will have the autonomy to manage your portfolio as you wish and you will also work closely with a team of expert tax advisors who will support you with more complicated advisory work. Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual statutory accounts, corporation, partnership and personal tax returns
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns
  • Managing your client portfolio and client relations
  • Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers.
  • Onboard new clients and assist the partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation work as required

Requirements
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience
  • 5 + years’ experience in an accountancy practice
  • Experience of cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks
  • Proven experience managing a team
  • Previous client management experience and a varied skill-set

Benefits
  • £65,000 - £80,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
