Location:                             Leeds LS14 2LA, Perivale UB6 7JD

Salary:                                 £ 14.10 per hour plus extensive benefits

Contract type:                    Permanent  

Employment type:             Full Time

Working hours:                  37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 5;00 pm

As an Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant, the purpose of this role is to act as an accredited final checker for dispensed items within a pressurised, deadline‑driven environment. The role ensures that all prescriptions received are checked and processed to the required standards, performance targets are achieved, and appropriate quality controls are maintained and communicated effectively to pharmacy teams

What you’ll be doing?

  • Acting as an accredited final checker for all dispensed items to ensure accuracy and patient safety
  • Ensuring all prescriptions received each day are checked, processed, and completed to required standards
  • Maintaining and communicating appropriate quality controls across pharmacy teams
  • Supporting the clinical team with day‑to‑day operational and workflow activities
  • Following dispensary procedures and meeting internal quality, safety, and accuracy targets
  • Working efficiently in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment
  • Meeting individual and team performance targets to support wider business goals
  • Taking ownership of prescription labelling and ensuring accuracy at every stage

Who are we looking for?

  • Qualified Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant with up‑to‑date revalidation
  • Highly accurate, detail‑focused, and confident working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to prioritise workload effectively and stay organised under pressure
  • IT‑literate, comfortable using pharmacy systems, and quick to learn new software
  • Demonstrates initiative, proactivity, and a positive approach to problem‑solving
  • Experienced working within legal, ethical, and professional pharmacy standards
  • A supportive team player committed to ongoing professional development (CPD)
