WKC Group Ltd possesses the rights to sell and distribute world-leading noise modelling software, SoundPLAN, across the UK. 

The Role:

We are seeking an Acoustic Consultant with at least three years’ experience in conducting noise impact assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of noise regulations, standards, and assessment methodologies, along with practical experience in environmental noise modelling, data analysis, and report writing. The candidate is also expected to be a full member of the Institute of Acoustics (IoA). The role will involve working on a range of projects, including involvement in other technical aspects of environmental consultancy.

The position also involves assisting with the growth of the SoundPLAN business. This will include providing technical software support to existing SoundPLAN clients, and involvement in the delivery of SoundPLAN noise-related training.  

The candidate will have:  

• BSc in a Scientific, Engineering or Acoustics related field.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.


• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.


• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.


• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.


• Experience with noise modelling software such as SoundPLAN.


• Strong knowledge of noise regulations and standards such as CRTN and ISO9613.


• Noise survey experience.


• Full membership with the IoA.


• A full driving license is required.
