Acoustic Consultant - London

A specialist UK-based Acoustic and Design Consultancy is seeking an Acoustic Consultant with 4-5 years' experience to join their team working on world-class building acoustics projects in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for performance environments-such as theatres, concert halls, and cultural venues-who is looking to take the next step toward a senior-level position.

Essential Criteria:

• 4-5 years of experience in building acoustics, ideally with exposure to performing arts or cultural building projects.

• Strong understanding of room acoustics, sound insulation, and vibration control.

• Experience working closely with architects, engineers, and design teams.

• Proficiency with acoustic modelling tools (e.g., Odeon, EASE, CATT).

• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.

• Strong design sensibility and attention to acoustic detail.

Desirable Criteria:

• Progression toward chartered status or senior-level responsibilities.

• Experience presenting to clients or contributing to bids and proposals.

• Background in theatre, live sound, or performance space consultancy is advantageous.

The Role:
You will play a key part in designing and delivering acoustically exceptional performance and cultural spaces. This includes detailed modelling, report production, and coordination with clients and design teams. You will be supported in developing your career toward a senior position while contributing to high-profile, meaningful projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting room acoustics and sound insulation design work for performing arts buildings.

• Collaborating with architects and project teams to integrate acoustic solutions.

• Preparing technical documentation, acoustic models, and client reports.

• Visiting project sites and attending client design meetings.
