The opportunity
SF are working with a private equity backed technical services group who are seeking a hands-on interim lead to support an active acquisition programme. You will take ownership of post-acquisition integration, establish financial control and coordinate the practical work needed to bring new businesses into the group while maintaining business continuity.

Key responsibilities
- Take stock of live integrations and turn due diligence findings into prioritised plans with clear owners, deadlines and risks.
- Lead finance integration, including management accounts, cash reporting, banking, payment approvals, reconciliations and working capital controls.
- Coordinate HR, payroll, IT, systems, insurance, fleet and operational workstreams, holding functional owners accountable for delivery.
- Manage Day 1 and first 100-day priorities, resolve blockers and escalate material risks to the CFO.
- Build relationships with acquired business leaders and support clear communication throughout the transition.
- Provide concise progress reporting and leave a repeatable integration playbook, trackers and a clear handover to the permanent team.

Experience required
- Qualified accountant or strong QBE finance professional with relevant commercial experience and robust financial control skills.
- Multiple occasions of hands-on post-acquisition integration experience, with the ability to take ownership quickly and manage several workstreams at pace.
- Confidence working with senior leaders, presenting to the board and acquired business owners, challenging delays and translating issues into practical actions.
- Experience in acquisitive, private equity backed or multi-site businesses is desirable. Technical services experience and Microsoft Business Central knowledge would be advantageous.

Establish a reliable view of integration progress, address urgent control gaps, bring acquired businesses into group reporting and agree a practical delivery plan with accountable owners
