Job Description - ACT Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician

At Pharmacierge, we are redefining the private pharmacy experience in the UK. Based on Wimpole Street, in the heart of the London Harley Street Medical Area, we work closely with leading private clinicians to deliver a seamless, safe, and highly personalised medication service.

Our approach is rooted in clinical excellence, compassion, and innovation. We combine cutting-edge technology with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure that every patient and prescriber receives the same level of care that we would want for our own families.

As a member of our pharmacy team, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and patient care, helping us deliver an exceptional experience at every stage of the journey.

We are currently seeking an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACT) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring that all medications are accurately dispensed and meet the highest safety standards. You will work closely with our team of pharmacists and dispensary staff to uphold Pharmacierge's commitment to excellence.

Please Note: Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed medications to ensure compliance with protocols.
    • Support safe dispensing of prescriptions and maintain accurate records.
    • Report discrepancies promptly and assist in training junior staff.
    • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay up to date with industry standards.
    • Collaborate with the wider pharmacy teams to address patient queries and enhance the patient experience.

What to Expect from Our Recruitment Process

At Pharmacierge, we use a multi-stage recruitment process for the ACT role to ensure the best possible fit for both you and our team.

Stage 1 – Application Review - We’ll review your application (usually within 1-2 working days) to ensure it meets the essential criteria for the role.

Stage 2 – Telephone Interview - If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to self-schedule a short telephone interview with our Recruitment Coordinator or a senior staff member.

Stage 3 – Video Interview - Successful applicants will then have a remote interview via Microsoft Teams with a senior member of the Pharmacy Team.

Stage 4 – On-site Visit - If progressing, you'll be invited to visit our pharmacy for a tour, meet the team, and get a feel for the working environment. You’ll also spend time in the areas relevant to the role to see what a typical day might look like.

Stage 5 – Final Review - A member of our Senior Leadership Team will review your application and interview feedback. If all criteria are met, we’ll be in touch with a job offer.

Why this approach?

We’ve found that transparency and time spent on both sides leads to better long-term satisfaction and retention. Our goal is for you to fully understand the role, and for us to understand you, not just on paper, but as a potential colleague.

To be considered for the ACT role at Pharmacierge, you MUST have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Qualification (or equivalent as recognised by the General Pharmaceutical Council)
  • Be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Join us at Pharmacierge and be part of the future of private pharmacy care!
