We're working with a leading UK insurer to hire an Actuarial Manager into a high-impact profitability and business planning team within their health division.
This is not a traditional reserving/reporting role - it sits at the heart of commercial decision-making, focusing on trend analysis, forward-looking projections, and strategic insight.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to:
Shape business planning assumptions and 5-year outlooks
Deliver deep-dive profitability and performance insights
Build and enhance interactive dashboards for senior stakeholders
Work closely with teams across pricing, clinical analytics, and corporate functions
Gain high visibility with senior leadership in a fast-paced environment
You'll play a key role in improving how the business understands performance and makes decisions - with real scope to influence strategy from day one.
You'll have:
Actuarial background (ideally FIA qualified or close)
~4+ years' experience in insurance (GI, Life, Pensions or Health)
Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret trends and challenge assumptions
Experience (or interest) in SQL / Power BI / data visualisation
Confident communicator with stakeholder engagement skills
Self-starter who can bring structure to new or evolving workstreams
