The opportunity

Are you looking to build your actuarial pricing career in a varied and commercially focused role? This is a great opportunity to join our Delegated Authority Pricing team, working on our Personal Lines Travel portfolio.

You’ll use data and analysis to help our MGA and DA partners make better pricing decisions, support the wider business in understanding portfolio performance, and develop your skills in actuarial pricing, portfolio monitoring, stakeholder management and tools such as SQL, R and Power BI.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?

  • Carry out pricing analysis using a range of data sources to support our MGA and DA partners.

  • Help maintain portfolio monitoring dashboards and use them to identify emerging trends.

  • Support assessments of potential new DA portfolios, working with underwriting, finance, claims and reserving teams.

  • Help improve processes, tools and reporting so the team can work more efficiently.

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external DA partners.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in General Insurance pricing, actuarial or analytical work.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an eye for detail.

  • Comfortable working with data and keen to develop technical skills.

  • Able to explain analysis clearly to different audiences.

  • Organised, curious and motivated to learn.

  • Experience with tools such as Excel, SQL, R or Power BI preferred.

  • Working towards actuarial qualifications.

What will you get in return?
