Administration Team Leader – Operations - Knowsley - up to £33k per annum - Permanent - Full Time
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist engineering business for an experienced Administration Team Leader to join their Operations Department in Knowsley.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead the administration team and provide effective administrative and operational support across the department.
You will play a key role in ensuring that systems, customer documentation, orders, quotations, reporting and compliance records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
The role will suit someone who is highly organised, confident coordinating multiple priorities and enjoys improving processes and supporting a busy operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the office administration team within the Operations Department.
* Work closely with warehouse and operational teams to ensure smooth day-to-day coordination.
* Manage and maintain the company's CRM system, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
* Prepare and issue customer quotations in a timely and professional manner.
* Process purchase orders and maintain associated documentation.
* Coordinate warranty requests with suppliers and internal teams.
* Compile operational and management reports as required.
* Oversee supplier Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and maintain accurate records.
* Support internal auditing activities and maintain ISO-related records.
* Maintain and update the company training matrix.
* Support internal health & safety reporting and associated record keeping.
* Provide administrative and reporting support to the Head of Operations.
* Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and operational efficiency.
* Provide general administrative support across the Operations Department.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Administrative Team Leader who has previously led a team.
* Previous experience in an administration leadership or senior administration role.
* Strong organisational and coordination skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Experience using CRM systems.
* Experience within a health & safety, compliance or ISO environment would be advantageous.
