Job Description - Administrator

Location: Sheffield
Contract Type: Full-Time (Permanent)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning firm of solicitors based in Sheffield. This well-established and respected practice is seeking a proactive and organised Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of its busy legal office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a professional environment, enjoys varied tasks, and has excellent IT and communication skills. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining efficient office systems and delivering excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to legal and professional teams across departments

  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring professional responses

  • Maintain diaries, book appointments, and coordinate meetings

  • Prepare, format, and distribute documents, letters, and reports accurately

  • Maintain case management systems and electronic filing structures

  • Ensure accurate data entry and management of client records

  • Organise incoming and outgoing mail, including DX (Document Exchange) and courier services

  • Assist with GDPR compliance and uphold confidentiality protocols

  • Communicate with clients in person, via phone, and email in a professional manner

  • Support client onboarding and case file preparation

  • Undertake occasional errands, including off-site deliveries (driving licence required)

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role

  • Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Confident and professional telephone manner

  • Ability to manage workload independently and work well in a team

  • Full, clean UK driving licence (access to a vehicle is desirable)
