Job Description - Administrator

My client is a growing main contractor that are expanding rapidly in the north west market. Due their continued growth they require an office administrator.

The administrator will assist in administration tasks within the office. You will be using daily Excell, word and Microsoft so will be fully conversant in these, and IT literacy is essential.

As Administrator, you will have previous experience working for construction business. You will be updating and keeping information records, on site attendance, Ordering office supplies, scheduling visits and meetings within the office.

Duties
• Manage incoming calls and correspondence, ensuring professional phone etiquette is upheld at all times.
• Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records.
• Utilise Google Suite for document creation, scheduling, and collaboration with team members.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as required.
• Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Provide clerical support including filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
• Support financial processes by using QuickBooks for invoicing and basic bookkeeping tasks.
• Organise meetings, including scheduling appointments and preparing meeting materials.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in using computer systems, particularly Google Suite and QuickBooks.
• Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with clerical duties such as filing, typing, and managing office supplies is advantageous.

The successful administrator will have excellent organisation skills, will have multi-tasking abilities. With an excellent attention to detail. With an understanding and experience working within the fast-paced Construction sector.
