Temporary Blue Badge Administrator

Pay rate: £11.98 per hour

37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

This opening assignment is for 3 months

Basic DBS required for this role

An Administrator is required to work in the Blue Badge Team.  To work as a member of a team dealing with all stages of assessing applications and issuing Blue Badge parking permits.

Key responsibilities:

• Work as a member of a team and be responsible for all stages of the process of the issue of the Blue Badges issued or administered by the Council as part of controlled parking policies.

• Deal effectively and efficiently with personal, written and telephone applications for Blue Badges, offering such advice and guidance as may be required by potential Badge holders.

• Deal with situations of a volatile and confrontational nature, both face to face and over the telephone in a manner that upholds the professional reputation of the Council.

• Take direct responsibility for individual Blue Badge applications and deal with all the necessary stages from initial vetting to Badge issue.

• Ensure the maintenance and accurate updating of manual and computer systems and records to maintain a high standard and systematic approach to the organisation of administrative procedures.

• Work within set and established procedures, work programmes and deadlines, and to ensure that procedures are followed, and deadlines met.
