Job Description - Administrator - SEN Department

Administrator – SEN Department

Location: Haringey, North London

Contract: Full-time / Term-time

Salary: Competitive, with Inner London weighting

Our client is seeking a highly organised, proactive and compassionate Administrator to join the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Department of a good, mixed 11–16 comprehensive secondary school in Haringey. Serving a truly multi-cultural community, the school places every student at the centre of its work, valuing individuality, ambition and achievement.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, their families, and staff, within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide efficient and confidential administrative support to the SEN team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the department. You will work closely with the SENCo, external agencies, teaching staff and families to help ensure students receive the support they need to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing high-quality administrative support to the SEN department

* Maintaining accurate and confidential student records

* Supporting EHCP processes, reviews and meetings

* Liaising with parents/carers, staff and external professionals

* Managing correspondence, reports and documentation

* Supporting compliance with SEN statutory requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who:

* Has strong organisational and administrative skills

* Is confident working with sensitive and confidential information

* Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion

* Has experience working in a school or SEN environment (desirable, not essential)
