Job Title: Administrator – Shipping & Logistics Support
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator with proven experience in shipping and logistics. This role is key to ensuring that our engineers and resources are in the right place at the right time, while also supporting our finance team with accurate billing and expense processing. The successful candidate will be highly organised, confident in managing multiple priorities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesArrange UK and European shipments with third-party logistics providers.
Prepare and complete import/export documentation in line with regulations.
Organise UK and European travel for Apex Engineers.
Process engineers’ expenses and support billing activities.
Provide administrative support to the finance team.
Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is filed correctly.
Carry out general office and housekeeping duties to support a professional work environment.
Demonstrable experience in shipping/logistics administration.
Strong understanding of import/export processes and documentation.
Previous experience processing expense reports.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
