We value teamwork, and our members voices and we seek these opinions to help us deliver our aims to the highest possible standard. 2.\tScope and purpose of the roleThis is an exciting and unique opportunity to join The Security Institute at an important phase of its growth and development. The Business & Project Support Officer is a key role within The Security Institute team, reporting to the Finance & HR Manage. The purpose of the role is to provide high quality business, administrative and project support across the organization working with many of the organization’s operational areas. 3.\tAbout youYou will be a self-driven and professional admin or business support officer who understands project management approaches and who can work within a highly confidential and fast pace setting.You will be agile, capable of absorbing key information quickly and efficiently and be confident in managing a wide ranging and fluctuating workload.4.\tMain duties and responsibilities (not necessarily in priority order)\tTo provide business, administrative and project support to as agreed with your line manager.\tTo support the membership team in administrative tasks including onboarding\tTo oversee the administration of the continuing professional development process for members\tTo support in the administration and processing of members and chartership applications\tTo carry out the administration of group and student membership\tTo support in membership engagement and retention approaches \tTo carry out finance support tasks as agreed with your line manager.\tTo suggest improvements to any system or process that you encounter\tTo carry out HR support including recruitment, onboarding and HR policy updating\tTo support in the recruitment, onboarding and engagement with supporters and corporate partners\tTo manage the agreed email accounts \tTo support the working groups and special interest groups as agreed with line management.\tTo support the marketing, communications and events team as agreed\tTo prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents as required.\tTo handle confidential information with discretion and to maintain strict confidentiality.\tTo conduct research, compile data and prepare reports as required for the Chief Executive\tTo review and maintain the quality of the information on our CRM.\tTo ensure that records are maintained in the correct system (CRM/SharePoint) in accordance with our internal policies.\tTo comply with data protection legislation and act responsibly on matters of data disclosure both internally and to third parties, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.\tTo build positive working relationships both with internal colleagues and externally with stakeholders\tTo represent the Institute in a professional manner and to act at all times in a manner which will not damage its reputation.This list is not exhaustive as highlights key areas of work.5.\tEssential Criteria:\tExperience in administration, business, or project support.\tAbility to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.\tExcellent phone etiquette and written and verbal communication skills. \tExperience of using a CRM\tHighly organised, with excellent attention to detail\tGood project and time management skills and able to manage multiple projects.\tStrong relationship-building and networking skills, able to represent The Institute in a positive and professional way.\tGood problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a team.\tAbility to work positively in a high performing team. \tHighly competent in using the Microsoft Office 365 suite.\tAbility to carry out initial screening of applications based on criteria and guidance provided.\tCapacity and willingness to travel on occasion throughout the UK, including overnight stays.\tA positive can-do growth mindset, keeping calm under pressure.\tEvidence of the right to work in the UK.6.\tDesirable\tEducated to degree level or professional qualification in business administration, governance or similar.\tExperience of working with finance systems\tExperience of working with inline HR systems 7.\tDiversity
