Adult Learning are recruiting for additional tutors to join the Business & Health Curriculum team to support apprentices in the care sector.

Working with apprentices from L2 through to L5 in Adult Care, we are requiring up to 1.2 FTE tutors to fulfil this vacancy (part time hours can be considered).

The role requires county-wide travel to visit apprentices in their workplaces and for tutors to develop and mentor them to produce portfolios of evidence that meet the Apprenticeship standard set by Skills England.

An 1 FTE position equates to 40 apprentices on a caseload who must have 4 weekly contact visits, 12 weekly progress reviews and training throughout, agreed between employers and tutors to ensure learning and funding requirements are met, whilst timely achievement is maximised.

The tutor must have a recent care background, or has been a practicing care tutor/assessor working with apprentices, working across multi service provisions including residential and domiciliary care.

Holder of the Diploma in Care at L3 is essential, along with Assessor Award and E&T L4, or a willingness to work towards the achievement of them.

Ideally tutors will also have Management experience within care settings and can teach and assess up to and including Level 5.

For an informal discussion about the role, please call Corrina Luckett, Curriculum Manager on 01603 223882
