You’ll be working within a well-established Family Safeguarding Model—a nationally recognised, multi-disciplinary approach that brings together professionals from across services to work in one team. Your focus will be on keeping families together safely, empowering them to make lasting change.

As an Advanced Social Worker in the Family Safeguarding Team, you will:

• Manage a caseload of children in need, child protection, and care proceedings.

• Use motivational interviewing techniques to support families and promote positive outcomes.

• Work alongside domestic abuse practitioners, substance misuse recovery workers, and mental health professionals—offering whole-family support.

• Deliver high-quality assessments and plans in line with statutory frameworks, including the Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023), and Social Work England Standards.

• Contribute to a culture of reflection, learning, and best practice.
