Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an Advanced Social Worker to join its client’s Fostering Families and Friends Assessment Team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced children's social worker with a strong background in Kinship Assessments to undertake high-quality viability, Connected Persons, and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments. Working within a supportive team, you will play a key role in identifying safe and sustainable family placements for children, ensuring positive outcomes through robust assessment and informed decision-making
What will your responsibilities be?
As an Advanced Social Worker, you will complete comprehensive Kinship, Connected Persons, viability, and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments, providing detailed analysis to determine the suitability of relatives and family friends to care for children and young people. You will undertake regular statutory visits to carers, ensuring children remain safeguarded and that all assessments are child-focused and evidence-based.
You will be responsible for managing complex cases, applying sound professional judgement and critical analysis to inform decision-making. Working to court timescales and service deadlines, you will produce high-quality assessments while maintaining excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks relating to Looked After Children and Kinship Care.
