As Canada Life continues to strengthen its advisor distribution strategy, we are seeking an Advisor Growth and Succession Specialist to help drive advisor growth, recruitment, and succession opportunities across our distribution network.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, this role will focus on building relationships with advisors who are not traditionally connected to Canada Life, supporting succession planning opportunities, and delivering strategic growth initiatives. Working closely with Regional Directors, Sales Leaders, Advisors, and Distribution Partners, you will play a key role in expanding advisor relationships and supporting business growth.

What you will do

• Develop and execute business plans that support advisor growth, recruitment, and succession objectives.


• Identify and pursue new advisor opportunities to expand Canada Life's distribution footprint.


• Partner with Regional Directors, Regional Sales Directors, and distributor sales leaders to implement growth strategies.


• Support advisors who are exploring succession planning solutions.


• Deliver sales ideas, market insights, and competitive intelligence to help grow advisor business.


• Participate in advisor meetings, presentations, and business development activities.


• Collaborate with internal specialists on complex wealth, insurance, tax, and estate planning opportunities.


• Lead targeted advisor engagement and support plans.


• Implement marketing and go-to-market initiatives that strengthen advisor relationships and generate new opportunities.


• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.

What you will bring

• Experience in sales, business development, wholesaling, or advisor-facing roles within the Canadian insurance and/or wealth industry.


• Proven ability to build advisor relationships and drive business growth.


• Strong knowledge of insurance, wealth products, and sales strategies.


• Experience working with advisors, dealers, MGAs, or distribution partners.


• Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and presentation skills.


• Ability to identify opportunities, think strategically, and develop creative solutions.


• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.


• Knowledge of industry regulations and business practices.


• Post-secondary education in a related field.


• Industry designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.), Personal Financial Planner (PFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), or similar credentials are considered an asset.


• Knowledge of tax and estate planning concepts related to insurance solutions is considered an asset.


• Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following IPC office locations: Toronto, London, Mississauga and Winnipeg

The base salary for this position is between $71,900 - $119,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
